STOP PRESS ***
December 2009: It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of our good friend Mr. Richard Todd on Thursday 3rd December. We offer our condolences to his family and friends. November 2009: See the relevant pages for details of our EC155 and AS365 type and instrument rating courses at sensible prices, and our new MCC course. On 16th May 2008 Dragon was privileged to fly Richard Todd to the Derwent Dam for the 65th Anniversary Dam Busters Memorial Service. It was a spectacular, moving and unforgettable day as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Tornadoes from the present 617 Squadron flew over the Dam. Some of the pictures we took can be seen on the left (note: please view the site in Internet Explorer to see all the pictures.) Photos and clips are copyright Dragon Helicopters 2008. Download video clips of the BBMF and 617 Squadron flypast here: The eventual closure of Sheffield City Airport in April 2008 has seen Dragon’s departure from the base that was instrumental in the Company’s inception in 2000. As the longest-standing General Aviation operator at Sheffield, we have witnessed many changes over the last seven-and-a-half years, many of which had made operations from Sheffield increasingly difficult. We see the present time as an opportunity to improve our product offerings and services to our customers. Click here to take a tour inside an AS355 Twin Squirrel.
