Dragon Helicopters provide a range of aerial photography and filming solutions

We are able to meet a wide range of moving and still photography requirements, providing a safe filming environment in diverse conditions. We only use turbine aircraft in order to minimise vibration and guarantee plenty of power in demanding filming conditions.

Our Long Ranger provides an exceptionally smooth and stable filming platform: the large open area available when the side door and additional panel are removed offer unsurpassed visibility and the aircraft is faster and more powerful than its smaller relative the Jet Ranger.

We have established relationships with experienced cameramen and equipment suppliers and access to various Tyler mounts, Sky Mounts and Jet Ranger nose mounts. We have a full range of harnesses for hand-held work and are experienced with all the safety requirements for secure rigging.

Our pilots are experienced with filming work and will facilitate the shots you require. Over the past two years we have worked for Channel 4, Sky News, Tyne Tees Television, Yorkshire Television and several other national and regional television and production companies, corporate clients and stills photographers. We are an approved supplier to the BBC. We are generally able to respond at very short notice and are often called on to help capture unfolding news events. We will organise all the exemptions, permissions and safety requirements necessary to facilitate the footage you require.
