AS365 Dauphin Type Rating Course

Give yourself a head start in the employment stakes with this sensibly-priced type rating on the widely-used AS365 Dauphin. There are two course options, depending on whether this is your first twin type or whether you already have a twin on your licence:

Option 1: First Twin VFR Type Rating Course
The course lasts for seven to ten days and consist of five days ground technical instruction and eight hours flight instruction plus test.
Total Cost 18,050 Euros (£16,124*).

Option 2: Additional Twin VFR Type Rating Course
For pilots already qualified on a twin-engined helicopter, the course consists of five days ground technical instruction and three hours flying plus test.
Total Cost 9,050 Euros (£8,085*).
IR(H) holders wanting an AS365 IFR type rating will need an additional two hours IFR flight training.

Course component costs:
• Type rating groundschool total cost 850 Euros (£760*)
• AS365 Dauphin hourly rate 1,800 Euros (£1,608*)
• CAA examiner skill test fee 1,000 Euros (£894*)
• Aircraft time for VFR skill test (1 hour) 1,800 Euros (£1,608*)
• Aircraft time for IFR skill test (2 hours) 3,600 Euros (£3,216*)
Any additional flight instruction required will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
