A Helicopter Came To School book
Originally developed in support of our School Visits, these superb educational children’s books are now available to purchase directly from Dragon.
Available in two versions, targeted at Key Stage 1 (4 to 7 years old) and Key Stage 2 (8 to 11 years old) children, the books form an excellent educational resource linked to the National Curriculum, and also provide great entertainment for children as they are packed with photographs, illustrations and activities.
The content has been developed by primary school teachers and designed by Dragon’s own in-house designer, with photography featuring many of Dragon’s staff and helicopters and fabulous illustrations by Joanne Hatfield.
The National Curriculum areas covered are Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Design and Technology, ICT, History and Physical Education. A supporting Teacher’s Resource Pack is also available for teachers (or parents!) who want to base project work on the books. The books are 36 pages long, full colour throughout, A4 landscape format and include:
• helicopter facts, how they work, history, different types;
• related topics such as various helicopter roles, pilot jobs and communications;
